You Go Girl for God, Part 10

Chapter Two (cont)

So, I picked up the phone and called, and said, “I’d like to apply for the teller job.” “Hold please.” They gave me to a supervisor. Her name was Georgia somebody. I said, “Yes, ma’am, I would like to apply for the teller position.” She said, “Excuse me, how did you know there was a teller position?” I said, “I was praying, and the Lord told me to call this bank because there’s a teller position open.” She said real sweetly, “Could you hold just a minute, please?” She got the Branch Manager on the phone, David Cook. He said, “Hi, this is David Cook, branch manager, how can I help you?” I said, “Well, my name is Kitty and I understand you have a teller position open, full time. I need a job and I have 12 years banking experience from California. He said, “Kitty, can you tell me how you know we have a teller position open?” I said, “Well, I was sitting in prayer in my living room and clear as a bell, God told me to apply for this job.” He said, ‘Umm, Kitty, I’m a Christian too, and I’m hiring you right now on the phone. Would you just come in and fill out some paperwork?” Glory to God

If He’ll do it for me, He’ll do it for you. He will not withhold from those who are walking upright in His path doing what He wants, crying out to Him, pleasing Jesus. Woooo, I had some wonderful times in that bank because they let me be who I am in Christ. They weren’t holding back. So, practice His presence, for our every position is a practicing position. He did say, “My sheep know my voice and another voice they won’t follow.” If it’s ugly, if it’s dark, if it’s fear, it’s not our Father. It’s not our Shepard Savior. Write this down: The fear of the Lord is clean, and every other fear is unclean. That’s the truth about our Savior. You may not know how fear got in or what direction it came from, but you can know what direction it’s going. If you take authority over it in the Name of Jesus it has to go, every unclean spirit, and you don’t have to know its name either like we’ve heard a lot about. I don’t know where God’s taking me, but I trust Him. So, trust Him. Don’t let fear rule in any area of your life, in the Name of Jesus.

We teach in our Prophetic School that prophecy is for edification, exhortation, and comfort as the Scripture says. Don’t tell somebody something ugly, like, “I had a dream about you, your husband died, and there was a stake in his heart.” No, we ought not to be telling about that stuff because you open a wrong door. It came out of your mouth, and words have power. What you need to do is pray for a crop failure if you say something, and you thought, “that was not God, and I know it.” Ask for a crop failure of those words in Jesus Name and put them under your feet. Always give edification, exhortation, and comfort. People don’t need somebody to tell them what a rascal they are. We all know our shortcomings and our failures, don’t we? We need to edify, exhort, and encourage.

One time, I started trying to exercise that gift. The Lord told me just to start a conversation with the clerk at this store, so I walked up to her and said, “you know what I appreciate about you? I love how those glass frames are a contrast to your beautiful brown eyes. If you will just start, He will fill your mouth. She said, “Oh, oh, thank you.” You can do it! It’s not hard; you can do it if you want to serve Him and speak on His behalf. We are sons and daughters of the Most High. We are going to advance His Kingdom. Hello.

Hearken to God and consider, incline your ear. Forget your own stuff when you get up every day. Ask Him how can I serve in Your Kingdom, how can I be a blessing, how can I be a solution to somebody’s pollution? Hearken to God. Then the King will eagerly desire your beauty, the Word says. For He is our God, and nobody can take Him away from us. God loves us so much. It’s the goodness of God that leads people to repent. People can be a scoundrel or a rascal, but if you give them the Word of God, it’s the goodness of God that leads people to repent. So, provide them with goodness, give them God, give them an encouraging word, and they will open up to you. Then you can talk to them about Him, who speaks through you and led you there. It’s a beautiful plan God has, and it’s easier than you think. Edification, exhortation, and comfort. Not reproof, rebuke, or judgment.

Like it was taught to me years ago, I’d like to activate the word of knowledge or word of wisdom in you for others. We are going to pray in the Spirit, and if you don’t pray in the Spirit yet, it’s just a matter of time, and you will if you so desire. You can just keep worshipping Him and praising Him, and He will give you this gift. He will provide you with a word of encouragement, edification, exhortation, and/or comfort. You might be one that will see a picture, and if what you get isn’t lovely, then lift them in prayer concerning what you’ve been given. A heart of love for others and faith toward God are the keys to walking in these giftings
