The Difference Between a Visitation of God’s Spirit and God’s Spirit Constantly Abiding in Us

The Father is calling us to something more than just occasional visitations of His Spirit. He wants us to live and move in His Kingdom, to make His Kingdom our permanent home. He doesn’t want a one-night stand; He wants the rest of your life, all that you are and all that you will ever be. What is the difference between a visitation of God’s Spirit and God’s Spirit constantly abiding in us?
[Jhn 15:4 KJV] 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

A Visitation of God’s Spirit

A visitation of God’s Spirit is a temporary experience of His presence and power. It can happen at any time, anywhere, and for any reason. God may visit us to speak to us, to heal us, to comfort us, or to empower us for a specific task.

Visitations of God’s Spirit can be powerful and life-changing experiences. But they are not meant to be the norm for our lives. God wants us to live in His presence all the time.

God’s Spirit Constantly Abiding in Us

When God’s Spirit constantly abides in us, He is always with us and working in us. He is our guide, our comforter, and our strength. He empowers us to live a life that is pleasing to Him.

The Holy Spirit came to live in us when we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He sealed us as His children and promised never to leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

When we choose to walk in obedience to God, we give Him full control of our lives. The Holy Spirit is then able to work freely in us, transforming us into the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).

How to Experience God’s Spirit Constantly Abiding in Us

There are a few things we can do to experience God’s Spirit constantly abiding in us:
