Live with Prophet Russ – Fear Not, God is Your Paycheck! Prophet Russ speaks a word of impartation into your life from Gen. 15:1:
[Gen 15:1 KJV] 1 After these things, the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward.
This verse comes after Abraham rescued his nephew Lot and held in his grasp the wealth of the ten cities of the plain that he had liberated in the process with only 318 armed servants. The king of Sodom was on his way to meet Abraham after the battle, and Melchizedek intercepted him and warned him not to take so much as a shoestring from the king lest he say that he made Abraham rich. So Abraham relinquished all that great wealth and returns to his tents empty-handed. The next thing God says to Abraham, he is saying to you – I am your shield. I am your reward (the word there is salt). Soldiers were paid in salt in those days, and God is saying to Abraham and to you that HE IS YOUR PAYCHECK – your exceeding great PAYOFF!
