You are welcome here. This is Prophet Russ. Some of you have been close enough to hear the music in the house, and far enough away that you still introduce yourself by what went wrong. You can set that speech down. You were welcomed before you finished reading.

The door is already open. Heaven is not reviewing your application. A place has been kept, and your name is on it. Shame can walk you as far as the yard. Shame does not receive a chair. You do not have to earn the seat by explaining yourself. Come in and sit down.

Hear what the Father is saying. The Father says, Welcome. Come in from the road. I saw you while you were still a long way off, and I ran. The dust on your clothes does not set the terms of this meeting. My heart does. I am your Father. The lecture you braced for is not in My mouth. A robe is in My hand, and a ring is for your finger. The table was set before you found the courage to turn toward the house. Stop introducing yourself by the failure, or by the door someone closed in your face. I introduce you as wanted and received. Welcome is My settled word. It holds on the day you are proud of, and on the day you would rather hide. Come all the way in. Sit down and eat what I prepared. I am glad you came.

Your family is welcome. I welcome the family you are carrying. Pray them in. I welcome the dream you buried in a hard year. Dig it up. I never signed the death certificate you signed. Where they shut a door, I stand in another door. Enter. Open your hands. A clenched fist cannot take bread. What you open toward Me, I know how to fill. This welcome is your address. Live here.

Here is how you take this up. Say this with me. I am welcome in my Father’s house, and I come in and sit down. Forgive the version of yourself that has been standing in the yard. Pray again for the person you brought to this table. Make one move today that belongs to a son or a daughter who knows the house is home.
