Years ago, my father recounted an experience he had at a tent revival led by the renowned Prophet William Branham. Branham was a prominent figure in his time, known for his uncanny prophetic accuracy and the impactful influence of his ministry, which continues to resonate even today. The miracles he performed were unprecedented, and his revivals drew crowds of extraordinary sizes. However, despite his immense gifts, Branham strayed from his path later in life, leading to an untimely demise and a legacy that fell short of its potential.
My parents, as young adults in the 1950s, attended meetings held by prominent figures like Branham, A.A. Allen, and Oral Roberts, who were titans of the Pentecostal Healing Revival movement that swept through the nation from the 40s to the mid-60s. During one particular gathering, as Branham ministered to the crowd with prayer and prophecy, a woman approached him. While seemingly seeking to be prayed for herself, she instead whispered faintly, in a meek voice, “I have a word for you, Rev. Branham.” Branham, taken aback, publicly rebuked her, questioning her audacity, pronouncing, “WHAT? Dost THOU prophesy to THE PROPHET?”
This incident deeply troubled my father, who sensed a profound spiritual misstep. Sadly, as time passed, Branham’s ministry faltered, ultimately diminishing his impact and leaving a legacy far less significant than it could have been.
This story, which had long laid dormant in my memory, resurfaced recently as I drove across town. It prompted me to consider a course of action that some might deem ill-advised: to create an opportunity for those who follow my ministry to speak a word from God – over me. While my ministry pales in comparison to the scale and influence of Branham’s, I believe that prophetic individuals are drawn to the prophetic. Just as you seek to hear from God through me, I recognize that God can speak to me through you.
Therefore, I pose this question:
Do you have a word for me?
I couldn’t be more serious. Prophets need to hear from God like everyone else, and I know in this season, I’m open to what God might say to me through whomever He might choose. What next? If you feel prompted by the Holy Spirit to do so, I invite you to send your response to the following email (propheticnow@gmail.com) with my profound thanks. If you aren’t prophetic or don’t feel anything to send, would you pray for me? Paul, the architect of Christianity as we know it and writer of 2/3rds of the New Testament, literally begged people to pray for him. Your prayers over my life, over Father’s Heart Ministry, would be most appreciated.
God bless you.
