Wearied Saints, Fear Not: Finding Rest in the Storm

Are you feeling worn down, overwhelmed by the pressures of life?

Does the news and social media constantly bombard you with negativity, leaving you anxious and drained? You’re not alone. In today’s world, it’s easy to feel like the enemy’s strategy of “wearing out the saints” is working. But fear not, fellow believers! This message brings hope and guidance, drawing from scripture and personal experience to help you navigate the storm and find lasting peace in God.

Understanding the Enemy’s Tactics:

Daniel 7:25 warns us of the enemy’s plan to “wear out the saints,” to attack our faith and values. We see this manifested in the onslaught of secularism, social divisiveness, and negativity that surrounds us. But remember, this isn’t new. As 1 John 2:18 reminds us, the antichrist spirit has always been present, seeking to undermine God’s work.

The Power of Christ and His Kingdom:

Despite these challenges, Romans 14:17 reveals the true nature of God’s kingdom: righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. We possess a righteousness not based on our merits, but on Christ’s sacrifice. We have access to a peace that transcends understanding, a peace rooted in our connection to God (Philippians 4:7).

Practical Steps for Finding Rest:

So, how do we tap into this power in our daily lives? Here are three key steps:

  1. Wisdom: When facing uncertainty, return to the last thing God spoke to you. Reflect on scripture, prayer, and prophetic guidance. Let this be your anchor, leading you back to God’s will.
  2. Righteousness: Don’t let self-doubt or the accusations of others steal your peace. Remember, your standing before God is based on Christ’s work, not your own imperfections. Embrace love and forgiveness, even towards those who oppose you.
  3. Peace: Choose peace over understanding. Don’t get caught up in the need for immediate answers. Trust that God’s peace will guide you through the storm, leading you to unexpected blessings.

Seeking Support and Moving Forward:

Remember, you are not alone in this battle. Surround yourself with believers who uplift and encourage you. Seek wise counsel, but listen for God’s voice above all else. As you surrender your anxieties and embrace His promises, He will guide you through the challenges and into His perfect plan.

Don’t let the enemy wear you down. Choose faith, choose peace, and choose to walk in the wisdom and righteousness of Christ. Your blessing time is ahead, and God is walking with you every step of the way.

This message is just a starting point. Take it to heart, pray over it, and seek further guidance from God and your spiritual community. Together, we can overcome the enemy’s tactics and experience the abundant life God has promised.

    Praise God Pastor Russ,
I never need reminding, but there was a time the Lord put me in Hebrews 1-4 for about 3 months. I could look at other scriptures as ref. but “Rest” became a strong standard. Sometimes I wonder about the stability that Rest, as it keeps that one thing on the frontlet; Praise God.
I fail and flail, but I keep going, I’m not too sure about confiding in the Spiritual Community you speak of. I have a Loving/Caring Group but somehow I Keep my Strength in the Lord as I Love and Care for those around me, not so much share. I’m sure that’s why I’m somewhat out here on my own; seemingly. But I’m committed to this Community you speak of as of Christ. I’m the continual Optimist, and Assured; “The Best is yet to come”. Praise God.
Thanks so much for these Words of Wit and Wisdom and Encouragement in Faith; I’m looking/listening and going Through in the Lord.
    Thanks Prophet Russ
