Daily Intercessor’s Update

September 11, 2026  •  Special 9/11 Edition  •  Prophet Russ

Hello, I’m Prophet Russ with Father’s Heart Ministry, and this is a special September 11 edition of the Daily Intercessor’s Update for September 11, 2026.

“If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.”

— Sandy Dahl, wife of Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl

On this solemn anniversary, we remember September 11, 2001, not only as a day of devastating loss, but also as a day when courage, sacrifice, compassion, and unity rose in the face of terror. We pause to honor the lives taken, the families forever changed, the responders and survivors who still bear wounds, and those who remain watchful over our nation. Today we refuse both fear and forgetfulness. We come before God with humility, asking Him to heal what still hurts, strengthen those who stand guard, and keep America beneath His hand of mercy and protection.

01The United States of America

Prayer for the Nation

September 11 calls America to remember the cost of freedom and the spiritual need of our nation. In the days following the attacks, people filled churches, gathered in public squares, comforted strangers, and discovered again how deeply they needed one another. We ask God to awaken that same spirit of humility and unity today—not unity born only from crisis, but unity rooted in righteousness, compassion, and reverence for God.

🙏 Prayer Focus

Father, we lift up the United States of America before You. Forgive our sins, heal our divisions, and turn our hearts again toward truth, mercy, and justice. Give wisdom to our leaders, integrity to our institutions, and compassion to our communities. Let the memory of September 11 humble us rather than harden us. Teach us to cherish life, serve our neighbors, and stand together against hatred without surrendering to fear. May righteousness exalt this nation, and may Your peace rest upon our cities, our borders, and our people.

⚔ Warfare Declaration

We stand against every spirit of terror, hatred, fear, and national division. We declare that evil will not define America’s future. We decree that courage will overcome intimidation, truth will overcome deception, and love will overcome hatred. Let every strategy intended to fracture this nation be exposed and brought to nothing, and let a fresh spirit of repentance, unity, and godly resolve arise across the land.

02Sacred Remembrance

Comfort for the Families of the Fallen

Behind every name remembered today is a family story: spouses who lost their companions, children who grew up without a parent, parents who buried sons and daughters, and friends whose lives were divided into before and after. Anniversaries can reopen grief in ways that others do not see. We remember the fallen by surrounding those who loved them with prayer, compassion, and enduring honor.

🙏 Prayer Focus

God of all comfort, draw near to every family grieving a life lost on September 11 and in the days that followed. Hold them close when memories feel heavy, when public remembrance touches private pain, and when an empty place at the table still speaks. Bless the children and grandchildren who carry these stories forward. Let honor replace isolation, cherished memories bring warmth, and Your presence bring peace that surpasses understanding. Remind every grieving heart that their loved one is known, their sorrow is seen, and they are not forgotten.

⚔ Warfare Declaration

We resist the spirit of despair that seeks to attach itself to grief. We declare that sorrow will not have the final word over these families. The God who is near to the brokenhearted will sustain them, strengthen them, and surround them with faithful love. We decree peace over troubled memories, comfort over lonely places, and hope over every generation touched by this loss.

03Responders, Survivors & Recovery Workers

Healing for Those Suffering 9/11-Related Illnesses

For many responders, recovery workers, survivors, residents, and office workers, September 11 did not end when the smoke cleared. Years later, serious physical illnesses and emotional wounds continue to affect individuals and families. Some who ran toward danger that day now face long medical battles. We honor their sacrifice by praying for healing, provision, excellent care, and steadfast support.

🙏 Prayer Focus

Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer, touch every person suffering from a 9/11-related illness. Strengthen lungs, restore damaged bodies, calm traumatized minds, and renew weary spirits. Give physicians and researchers wisdom, and guide patients toward effective treatment. Provide for every household strained by medical expenses, lost income, caregiving demands, or delayed assistance. Sustain caregivers with grace and strength. Let no responder, survivor, or recovery worker feel abandoned after giving so much in the service of others.

⚔ Warfare Declaration

We contend against sickness, premature death, hopelessness, and neglect. We speak life and strength over bodies weakened by toxic exposure and trauma. We decree that hidden conditions will be identified, needed care will be made available, and every sufferer will receive dignity and support. Let healing virtue flow, let endurance rise, and let compassion move institutions and communities to act.

04National Security & Public Safety

Protection for Those Who Guard the Country

Each day, countless men and women carry the responsibility of protecting the nation—members of the Armed Forces, intelligence and homeland security personnel, federal and local law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical teams, dispatchers, transportation professionals, border personnel, and many others whose vigilance is often unseen. Their service requires courage, discernment, restraint, and readiness.

🙏 Prayer Focus

Lord, place Your shield around all who are entrusted with protecting this country. Grant them alertness without anxiety, courage without recklessness, and authority tempered by wisdom. Expose threats before they mature, bring vital information to the right people at the right time, and establish cooperation across agencies and communities. Protect these servants and their families physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Strengthen those working long hours in unseen places, and let their decisions preserve innocent life.

⚔ Warfare Declaration

We declare that plots of terror, violence, sabotage, and mass destruction will be uncovered and stopped. We decree divine clarity over analysts, commanders, officers, agents, and first responders. Confusion will not prevail, communication will not fail, and complacency will not take root. Let wisdom guard our gates, integrity guide our protectors, and the mercy of God cover the nation.

05Gratitude & Preservation

Thanksgiving for Years of Protection

Remembrance includes grief, but it also makes room for gratitude. Since September 11, 2001, America has passed through many seasons of danger and uncertainty without a repetition of an attack on that same scale. We do not take that preservation for granted. We thank God for every disrupted plot, every warning heeded, every courageous intervention, and every ordinary day in which families returned home safely.

🙏 Prayer Focus

Father, we thank You for the mercy and protection You have extended over this nation. Thank You for dangers seen and unseen that have been prevented, for intelligence shared, for watchful eyes, for brave decisions, and for lives preserved. Keep us grateful rather than complacent. Continue to frustrate plans of destruction, restrain those intent on violence, and give our protectors insight and favor. Let peace endure, and grant future generations the blessing of living secure from terror.

⚔ Warfare Declaration

With grateful hearts, we declare that terror will not revisit this nation with the devastation witnessed on September 11. We decree that destructive plans will fail, hidden networks will be exposed, and watchmen will remain awake. The shadow of the past will not become a prophecy of the future. We proclaim preservation over our cities, safety over our skies and transportation systems, and peace over the generations to come.

A Closing Prayer of Remembrance and Hope

Father, as we close this special time of intercession, we place the memory of September 11 into Your hands. May we never forget the lives lost, the courage displayed, the families who still grieve, or the servants who still carry the cost. Purify our remembrance of hatred and fear, and turn it instead into compassion, vigilance, service, and prayer. Heal our land, guard our people, and draw our nation back to You. Make us a people who run toward those in need, who cherish every life, and who answer darkness with the light of Christ. We remember, we give thanks, and we stand watch in faith. In Jesus’ name, amen.
