The Father Says Today: October 12th, 2023

Father Says Today, no temptation is too great for the grace I have instilled in your life.  I know that you face temptation every day. The temptation to gossip, to overeat, to cheat on a test, or to lose your temper. Whatever the temptation may be, remember that you are not alone. I am here with you and will give you the grace you need to overcome. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. In the midst of this struggle, says God I will be found faithful; I will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, I will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Though the pressure is great and the pull against you seemingly irresistible, never forget that I will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability to resist. I will always, always, ALWAYS provide a way out for you. When the onslaught comes, run to Me. Fall on your knees, implore My grace, decree My promise, and repent of the things in you, in your heart and life, that make you vulnerable to the draw of darkness, whether it be the past, a toxic relationship, or a lapse in other areas of your life. I will give you the strength to resist temptation and overcome it.

The heart of man is deceitfully wicked, and all have fallen short of My glory. Even those who don’t think they’ve fallen short – that IS their shortcoming and their transgression. Do not be intimidated by the self-appointed detractors who have nothing but condemnation, all in the name of “I’m just telling the truth or standing up for what’s right.” The darkness that holds them is FAR GREATER than the bands and bonds that try to trip you up and stay your hand as you struggle to live a life pleasing to Me. Don’t look at them; look within and see what I am illuminating and putting My finger on – that is where to apply your efforts to live ABOVE and not IN the sin state. Identify your triggers. What are the things that typically lead to temptation for you? Once you know your triggers, you can start to develop strategies for avoiding them or coping with them in a healthy way. Ask Me. Let your mouth pray! Pray for help. When you are feeling tempted, ask Me for the strength to resist. I will answer your prayer. Meditate on Scripture. The scripture is like fuller soap and Refiner’s Fire; you will be cleansed with the washing of the water of the word. You wouldn’t let someone else bathe your physical body, so take responsibility for the spirit man within you to keep yourself unspotted from every transgression (yes, even the one that comes to mind at the moment you read this!).  Remember,  I am always with you. I will give you the grace you need to overcome any temptation that comes your way. Trust in Me and obey Me, and you will be victorious.
