The Father says today, I will be a debtor to no man. That is a stark reality, but it is also a great truth. You cannot earn anything by striving to please Me. Your godly character is a gift from My hand. I have gifted you through the Cross with a new nature. You are a member of My family. You are God-kind because of the redemptive work of your Elder Brother. What was done for you on Calvary eclipses and erases every transgression and every aspect of falling short in your life to My standard of expectation. You are forgiven. You are cleansed. You are holy by imputation, and now you walk in undeserved favor accorded you from My throne.
Do you realize what this means for you? It means you are delivered from trying to measure up by virtue of your behavior to My perfection. Perfection in Me beloved is not a behavior but an identity. Everything I need from you and want from you flows out of your identity in Christ having nothing to do with religious or for that matter, moral behavior. This is the unearned gift through which My nature and holiness manifests in you not as an outward veneer of behavior but through the bone-deep identity you have in Me purchased through the shed blood of Calvary!
