Promise 66: James – 59

James

The letter of James makes a powerful case for the practical application of divine truth in our lives. For James, who Jesus is to us is not merely mystical truth but a life-transforming reality in life’s challenging “here and now.”

James 1:4 Let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

As Christians and human beings, we face the reality of our imperfections, our impatience at times, and those that seem to be utterly lacking in our experiences. Some believe James was a brother or stepbrother of Jesus understood that patiently looking to God holds the promise of perfect peace, the entireness of joy, and fulfillment of every need in our hearts.
