How to Move Mountains with God

How to Move Mountains with God:

God moves by faith. Faith moves God. In Luke 18:8, Jesus asks a question about finding faith in the earth when He returns. He isn’t looking for any other thing but that which originates in the faith of His people to move mountains and to do exploits in His name. He wants to find faith in the world when He comes back for His own. Not just any faith, but the kind of faith that moves mountains. The type of faith that gets God’s attention and activates His power in our lives.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1 that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It’s believing in something so strongly, even when we can’t see it, that it becomes our reality. If you are faith-believing in a situation and want to find the answer God gives, look to faith, for there is the very substance and essence of the same thing you are asking for. And when we have that kind of faith, it moves God to action.

“Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe.” – Unknown

Think about it: when Jesus walked on water, He didn’t do it because He was just a really good swimmer. He did it because He had faith in His Father’s power. When that water proved unsubstantial to hold the weight of His body, He used His faith to provide the substance (faith is the substance) necessary to uphold Him and Peter as well on the waves and waters as they returned to the ship that day. And when the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of His garment, she wasn’t healed because of some magical fabric. She was healed because of her unwavering faith in Jesus’ ability to make her whole.

“Fear Looks. Faith Leaps!” – Smith Wigglesworth

So, how can we activate this kind of faith in our own lives? Here are a few things I’ve learned along the way:

  1. Pray with boldness. Don’t be afraid to come to God with your biggest dreams and your deepest fears. He’s not intimidated by them, and He wants to hear from you.

  2. Read your Bible daily. The more you know about God’s character and His promises, the stronger your faith will become.

  3. Surround yourself with other believers. Find a community of people who will encourage you in your faith and help you stay accountable.

  4. Step out in obedience. Sometimes, the best way to show God that you have faith is to simply do what He’s asking you to do, even if it doesn’t make sense at the time.

  5. Never give up. There will be times when your faith is tested, but don’t let those moments define you. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep trusting in God’s plan.

Remember, faith is a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it will become. And the stronger your faith is, the more God will be able to move in your life.

So, what are you waiting for? Step out in faith today and watch God do amazing things!

Prayer:

Father, thank you for the gift of faith. Help us to grow in our faith every day and to trust in your plan for our lives. We believe that you are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to your power that is at work within1 us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
