The Intercessor’s Daily Update – July 9th, 2026

This is Prophet Russ, and welcome to the Daily Intercessor’s Update for July 9, 2026. The Lord brought Isaiah 62:6 to my heart this morning, reminding us that He has set watchmen upon the walls who shall never hold their peace day nor night, and those who make mention of the Lord must not keep silent. We are here in this podcast to do just that, to keep not silent, and we know when we do, God will answer from heaven and heal our land. Let’s look at today’s headlines:

Middle East Conflict Escalation

Prayer item number one brings us to the front lines where the United States military launched massive overnight strikes hitting ninety strategic targets inside Iran, responding decisively after President Trump declared the ceasefire officially over.

For our prayer, we ask for absolute protection over American forces stationed in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar as they intercept retaliatory fire, and we pray for total clarity and divine strategy for our military commanders executing these critical missions.

For our warfare declaration, we stand in our God-given authority to bind the prince of Persia and break the demonic assignment of terror, retaliation, and regional warfare designed to strike fear into the hearts of God’s people.

Campus Security and Radical Agendas

Event number two updates our domestic security watch as prosecutors just released disturbing video evidence in court regarding the targeted campus shooting of a conservative student activist connected to Charlie Kirk’s network.

For our prayer, we petition for a divine hedge of protection around every bold young believer and conservative voice standing for truth on secular university campuses, and we pray that any further hidden plots targeting patriots would be brought completely to light.

For our warfare declaration, we take authority over the spirit of political violence, antichrist hatred, and lawlessness operating in our educational institutions, and we command those operations to be bound and rendered powerless.

Infrastructure Resilience and Public Safety

Event number three highlights critical infrastructure vulnerabilities as severe storm fronts tearing through the Northeast triggered the sudden mass evacuation of a New York City high-rise building after interior structural supports began violently buckling.

For our prayer, we ask for supernatural safety for the displaced families, swift wisdom for emergency first responders, and the divine exposure of any administrative negligence or compromised engineering affecting public safety.

For our warfare declaration, we bind the spirit of sudden disaster, chaos, and destruction trying to exploit our metropolitan centers, and we decree structural stability and peace over our nation’s critical infrastructure.

Event number four centers on President Trump’s bold administrative policy declaration from Ankara where he announced that the United States is prepared to enforce a total naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and potentially seize Iran’s strategic Kharg Island to secure global energy sectors.

For our prayer, we pray that the Lord shields our naval vessels, grants unshakeable resolve to our commander-in-chief, and thwarts the globalist agendas trying to weaponize energy shortages against the American economy.

For our warfare declaration, we break the spirit of economic sabotage, international intimidation, and lawless aggression trying to strangle global trade, declaring that the wealth of the nations belongs under Kingdom alignment.

Global Persecution Frontiers

Event number five focuses on an urgent frontier of global persecution as the heavy crossfire of this expanding Middle East war directly impacts the underground Christian networks and local house churches navigating the combat zones.

For our prayer, we cry out for an iron wall of angelic protection around our brothers and sisters in the region, praying that the underground church becomes a beacon of supernatural rescue and that many souls are drawn out of darkness.

For our warfare declaration, we bind the spirit of martyrdom, radical religious oppression, and the demonic structures trying to wipe out the Christian testimony in the Middle East, decreeing a mighty kingdom breakthrough in the very heart of the conflict.
