The Intercessor’s Daily Update – July 29th, 2026

Hello, I’m Prophet Russ with Father’s Heart Ministry, and this is the Daily Intercessor’s Update for July 29, 2026. The Holy Spirit brought Psalm forty-six verse one to my heart today, reminding us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. As watchmen on the wall, we examine the events unfolding across our nation and the world through the lens of Scripture, taking our place in prayer to intercede with clarity and conviction.

Our top story today centers on the Middle East, where a brief diplomatic pause gave way to renewed hostilities as U.S. and Saudi forces launched coordinated strikes against Iran-backed militia bases in Iraq. This action followed intercepted ballistic missile launches targeting American installations and drone attacks against regional energy sites, while Iranian officials officially rejected a proposal for shared oversight of the Strait of Hormuz.

For our prayer, we ask the Lord to cover every American service member and allied force stationed throughout the Middle East with His supernatural protection. We pray for wisdom and discernment for our military commanders and national leaders as they navigate these high-stakes decisions, and we ask God to shield innocent lives caught in conflict zones.

For our warfare declaration, we stand in Kingdom authority against the spirits of war, terror, and regional destruction. We decree that the plans of those who seek to cause chaos, disrupt vital trade routes, and inflict harm are stopped, and we speak God’s peace and order over the nations.

Second, on Capitol Hill, conservative lawmakers and administration officials are making a strong push to pass the SAVE America Act before the upcoming congressional recess. The proposed legislation focuses on strengthening voter verification standards across the country, prompting debates among lawmakers over legislative timing and election integrity measures.

For our prayer, we petition the Lord for honesty, transparency, and righteousness in our nation’s electoral process. We ask God to give wisdom to our senators and representatives as they consider these measures, praying that every legal vote is protected and that truth guides our government leaders.

For our warfare declaration, we take authority over the spirits of deception, fraud, and political manipulation. We decree that light will expose every hidden agenda, and we declare that integrity and the rule of law will prevail in our nation’s halls of justice.

Third, international defense developments were highlighted in Washington as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President Donald Trump at the White House. Their discussions focused on military defense cooperation, including agreements that allow Ukraine to manufacture its own defense systems and Patriot missile interceptors to counter ongoing foreign aggression.

For our prayer, we pray for divine wisdom over international relations and defense alliances. We ask God to guide leaders toward decisions that protect innocent populations, uphold sovereign borders, and bring a swift end to tyranny and unprovoked aggression.

For our warfare declaration, we break the assignment of globalist manipulation, military expansion, and warmongering. We declare that the Lord frustrates the plans of hostile aggressors and brings stability and peace to regions torn by conflict.

Fourth, a major natural disaster unfolded in East Asia as a powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Japan’s southern Kumamoto prefecture during an ongoing severe heatwave. Search and rescue teams, alongside military personnel, are actively working to locate survivors trapped in collapsed buildings and factory infrastructure.

For our prayer, we ask for God’s mercy and physical protection over the victims, rescue workers, and first responders on the ground in Japan. We pray for swift emergency relief, comfort for grieving families, and favorable conditions for search operations amid the intense heat.

For our warfare declaration, we stand against the spirits of destruction, environmental catastrophe, and sudden tragedy. We command peace over affected communities and decree that comfort, aid, and divine restoration reach those in need.

Fifth, domestic news brings a sense of legal accountability as a Georgia state court sentenced the teenage perpetrator of the Apalachee High School shooting to life in prison without parole. The ruling brings a major legal chapter to a close while underscoring ongoing national discussions around youth safety, mental health, and community protection.

For our prayer, we lift up the grieving families, students, and teachers who were impacted by this tragic event. We ask the Lord to bring deep emotional healing and comfort to the school community, and we pray for wisdom for local officials and educators as they work to guard our children.

For our warfare declaration, we take authority over the spirit of violence, mass assault, and destruction targeting our schools and youth. We decree that our schools are safe places of learning and that the peace of God guards our communities and our families.
