Hello, I’m Prophet Russ with Father’s Heart Ministry, and this is the Daily Intercessor’s Update for August 22, 2026. The evangelist Gypsy Smith once said, “If you want to see a revival, go home, get a piece of chalk, draw a circle on the floor, step inside it, and pray, ‘Lord, start a revival inside this circle.'” When we look across the nations and survey today’s headlines, we do not grow discouraged or overwhelmed. We step into the circle of prayer, taking our place on the spiritual wall to decree God’s wisdom, divine protection, and righteous breakthrough over our nation and the earth.
Our top story today centers on sudden trade disruptions across North America. LiveNOW from FOX and Fox News report that fifty percent tariffs have officially been implemented on Canadian imports after high-stakes cross-border trade negotiations were abruptly suspended, prompting Canadian officials to announce immediate retaliatory trade measures.
For our prayer, we petition the Lord for supernatural wisdom, patience, and clear discernment over economic leaders, trade representatives, and manufacturers on both sides of the border. We pray for our domestic workers, small businesses, and consumer households, asking God to stabilize supply lines, protect livelihoods, and bring about equitable trade agreements that guard our economic foundations.
For our warfare declaration, we stand in Kingdom authority against the spirits of trade retaliation, economic confusion, and market volatility. We decree that deceptive maneuvers and sudden stalemates are broken, declaring God’s peace, favor, and stability over North American commerce.
Second, the U.S. Department of Defense released updated casualty figures, confirming that over seven hundred service members have sustained injuries during ongoing Middle East security actions and overseas military operations.
For our prayer, we ask the Lord to release His healing virtue, comfort, and restorative strength into every wounded military service member and their families. We petition God for an impenetrable hedge of divine protection around all our troops deployed across the Persian Gulf and around the globe, asking for sharp discernment for military surgeons, nurses, and field commanders.
For our warfare declaration, we bind the spirits of destruction, military ambush, and untimely harm targeting our armed forces. We decree divine recovery over our injured personnel and declare that God’s shield of salvation guards our military men and women on every front.
Third, domestic security and federal intelligence operations achieved a major disruption as federal authorities in New York released charging documents detailing how an alleged online radicalization network plotting bomb attacks against Capitol facilities was uncovered and neutralized.
For our prayer, we give praise to Almighty God for the exposure of hidden plots of violence against our nation’s capital. We pray for vigilance, wisdom, and divine insight for all federal law enforcement agents, intelligence analysts, and counter-terrorism teams working tirelessly to detect and neutralize threats before harm can occur.
For our warfare declaration, we take authority over the spirits of domestic terror, religious radicalism, and hidden violence targeting our government centers. We decree that every underground cell and online recruitment network is brought to the light and completely dismantled by the power of God.
Fourth, public health and consumer defense agencies are on alert as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and food safety regulators issued nationwide warnings linking multistate bacterial outbreaks to contaminated produce distribution lines, alongside emergency recalls of tens of thousands of consumer health products.
For our prayer, we petition the Lord for His supernatural healing and quick recovery over every individual impacted by food contamination or defective medical goods. We ask God to grant thoroughness, speed, and accuracy to food inspectors, agricultural logistics managers, and healthcare monitors as they sanitize supply chains and protect public health.
For our warfare declaration, we break the assignment of sickness, contamination, and physical infirmity against our communities. We speak divine health and protection over our families, declaring that God’s hedge of safety surrounds our food supply and household goods.
Fifth, domestic aviation and emergency teams responded to a severe regional crisis after a charter flight carrying eight individuals tragically went down in remote western Alaska.
For our prayer, we lift up the grieving families and local communities mourning the sudden loss of their loved ones in Alaska. We ask the Lord for His peace that passes all understanding to comfort their broken hearts, praying for safety, endurance, and clear direction for all search and recovery teams and federal aviation investigators navigating rugged terrain.
For our warfare declaration, we stand against the spirits of sudden transportation tragedy, atmospheric hazard, and grief over our remote and northern communities. We speak God’s supernatural comfort over the bereaved and decree safety over our regional aviation corridors.
