The Father says today, I am with you in the crises. There are times you unwittingly step into a problem that could otherwise have easily been avoided. Remember Peter when he sank under the waves? People look at that story, and all they see is Peter walking on water. What I remember was reaching down into the brine and wrapping My arms around him. I remember the smell of fish and fear on his body and his desperate cry, “Master, I perish!” I was never more proud of him than at that moment.
The lesson Peter learned from all of that was to frame his questions more thoughtfully. When he vaulted over the rail and walked on water, he first asked Me a question to which there was only one answer: “Master, if it’s you, bid me come.” Well, it was Me after all, so I bade him come to Me, knowing he would instantly find himself in an unnecessary crisis. There have been times you are so anxious to do something in My Kingdom that your attitude is, “Lord, I’m going to do something even if I do it wrong.” For your sake, I regret the escapades of presumption, but for My sake, I cannot wait to come to your rescue. So, go ahead and ask, says the Father. You cannot disappoint Me, and I will not be angry. There are times when the entire scope of My grace in your life is applied to make you prosper amid a colossal mistake. When the religious crowd sees Me do that, it makes them so frustrated. I am going to love you anyway, says the Father, and there is nothing they can do about it.
