The Father says today, learn to walk with Me through the dry seasons. Zion is the high place in the things of the Spirit, and it is the seat of government. It is also a place parched by the sun and weathered by time. Emotional experiences, visions, and epiphanies are lovely when they characterize what I am doing in your life, but they aren’t the only means by which I work. When you aren’t floating on air or flying high on some spiritual current of My kingdom, take the time to listen very intently. What was the last thing I told you to do? Go back to the previous place, the last assignment and situation that you know you could stake your life on that I was involved in. Be faithful there. Don’t run off on a tangent. Don’t be misled into looking for some outward thing or external dependency. My kingdom is on the inside of you. Many say, “Lo, here,” or “Lo, there.” Don’t go out after those things or those people. Listen to My still small voice and steady yourself in the simple assignment of obedience. The shift will come. The rivulets of refreshing from the river of My Spirit will find their way to you to quench the parched condition of your soul at that moment.
The enemy will never take you as prey, says God. You have applied yourself to many suggestions of others who insisted they knew the right thing to pray or to speak over you that would bring change. You tried to talk yourself into it but face the fact; little has changed. That doesn’t mean they were wrong or without good intentions. It means that I am a jealous God and will never allow the flesh to take My glory to themselves. Keep trusting. Keep doing what you know, and I will come to you as the Teacher to fill in the blanks and show you the path that leads to life. I long to bring you to Myself and to shelter you under My wings. Slow down. Sit quietly. Listen to what My voice whispers on the winds of My wisdom. I will not leave you where you are. I will not allow your life to be a patchwork of contradiction to My promise. It is a time to grow up and to grow on, and in so doing, all of the garbage and aggravation of the present distress will be left behind. This is your blessing time, says the Father, and this is the season of My favor upon your spirit, soul, and body. Receive it and stand upright on your feet and be the child of My right hand you are called to be.
