It is easy to get caught up in the trap of religious legalism. The enemy loves to take our natural desire to belong and serve God, turning it into checklists, rigid protocols, and human traditions.
The moment we believe that our acceptance before God depends on our performance rather than Christ’s finished work, we abandon the truth of the Gospel.
Christ is the only access: Your standing with the Father is secured entirely by Jesus, not your personal rulebook.
Discern performance-based teaching: Be watchful when a ministry implies that God’s favor is tied to human protocols, rigid checklists, or exclusive group standards.
Stand firm in liberty: Legalism promises spiritual growth, but it only delivers burnout and bondage.
Guard your relationship with the Father. Walk in the unmerited grace and freedom that Christ paid for.
