Romans
After a bitter life of violence and extremism, the apostle Paul taught that hope in God eliminates shame and disappointment in the context of God’s abundant love:
Romans 5:5 And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given unto us.
God’s love is “shed abroad” in your life and your heart today, and the promise that attends that outpouring is that you will not be disappointed or brought to shame regarding the hopes in your heart for tomorrow. No matter the disappointments of the past, never allow life’s circumstances to speak louder than the promise of the Father. There are good things ahead – more good than you could ever imagine breaking out in your day and your life at this moment!
