There are times we face hellish circumstances in life, but God is always near, showing His mercy:
[Jon 2:2 KJV] 2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardest my voice.
The word “affliction” here implies chronic illness and long-term suffering. Even when answers or relief is long in coming, there is a confident expectation that God will hear and respond no matter what – and deliver us from every challenge.
