From the prayer life of David, we see that God’s lovingkindness flows to those that know Him. The word “lovingkindness” comes from a root word meaning “bow the neck.” In other words, God’s regard and kindness are upon you because you know Him – are familiar with Him in kinship – and in addition, His righteousness flows to the upright in heart. 1 Cor. 1:30 says Jesus is the righteousness of God, and Jesus is our righteousness.
