The Lord calls us to lift up His people who suffer for His name. As the Scriptures remind us, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Timothy 2:1‑2).

Our first prayer focus is for Pastor Samuel Karanja and the congregation of St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Nakuru, Kenya, where the Daily Nation reported on October 20, 2026, that the church was raided by police and Pastor Karanja was detained for refusing to close the worship service.

Father, grant Pastor Karanja boldness to stand firm in truth, and surround his family with Your peace amid the uncertainty of his confinement.

In the name of Jesus I declare that no chain can bind the voice of the gospel spoken from St. Mark’s, and that every attempt to silence the church in Nakuru is broken by the power of the risen Christ.

Our second prayer focus is for Brother Ahmed Al‑Hussein, a Christian university professor in Cairo, Egypt, where Al‑Ahram reported on October 19, 2026, that he was summoned before a security court and threatened with imprisonment for teaching a course on biblical ethics.

Lord, soften the hearts of the magistrates and protect Brother Ahmed’s mind and spirit as he endures this trial, and provide for his family’s needs during this time of trial.

In Jesus’ name I decree that the truth of Scripture will not be suppressed in Egypt, and that every courtroom decision that seeks to silence the faithful will be overturned by divine justice.

Our third prayer focus is for the family of Pastor Elena Petrova in Saint‑Petersburg, Russia, where the Novaya Gazeta reported on October 18, 2026, that her home was searched and she was placed under house arrest after publicly condemning the state’s restrictions on worship.

Heavenly Father, cover Pastor Elena with Your shield, grant her perseverance, and bring comfort to her children as they await her freedom.

I speak in the authority of Christ that the walls of oppression in Saint‑Petersburg crumble, and that Pastor Elena’s voice for the kingdom will be heard loudly, despite any earthly confinement.

Our fourth prayer focus is for the underground house church in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, where the South China Morning Post reported on October 17, 2026, that the group’s meeting place was raided and several members were detained for gathering without a government license.

Jesus, pour out Your Spirit upon these believers, strengthening their resolve and protecting their families from further persecution.

In the name of the Lord I command that the doors of captivity be opened, that those detained in Chengdu are released, and that the gospel continues to flow even where it is forbidden.

Our fifth prayer focus is for Bishop José Luis Martínez of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Quito, Ecuador, where El Comercio reported on October 16, 2026, that he was publicly accused of “subversive activity” and his church’s property was seized after he refused to cease preaching about religious liberty.

Father, grant Bishop Martínez wisdom and endurance, and raise up supporters who will stand with him and his flock in these trying times.

I declare that the seizure of the church in Quito is null and void, and that the truth of Christ will reign victorious over any attempt to extinguish it.
