We turn today’s attention to the domestic concerns of our nation, trusting the instruction of 1 Timothy 2:1‑2 to “make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all people, especially for those in authority.” May our petitions rise as a sweet offering before the Father.

Our first prayer focus is for the city of Detroit, Michigan, where the Detroit Free Press reported on October 18, 2026, that the municipal water department announced a 30‑day outage affecting 120,000 residents due to a main line rupture.

Father, we ask that You bring swift repair crews, wisdom to the engineers, and patience to the families awaiting clean water.

In the name of Jesus, I decree that the water system will be restored within the announced timeframe, that no contamination will harm the people of Detroit, and that Your peace will fill every household during this trial.

Our second prayer focus is for the state of Texas, where the Texas Tribune reported on October 17, 2026, that the Texas Legislature introduced HB 4834, a bill that would limit the ability of faith‑based schools to teach biblical history.

Lord, grant the legislators discernment to honor religious liberty and protect the right of parents to choose a biblical education for their children.

In Jesus’ name I decree that any legislation seeking to suppress biblical teaching will be halted, and that God’s truth will continue to be taught freely in Texas schools.

Our third prayer focus is for the city of Phoenix, Arizona, where the Arizona Republic reported on October 16, 2026, that a federal immigration enforcement office announced a surge in raids on local businesses, detaining 45 workers in a single operation.

Father, we plead for the safety and dignity of those detained, that they may experience Your comfort and that the authorities act with justice and compassion.

In the name of Jesus I decree that every detained worker will be treated fairly, that any wrongful imprisonment will be corrected, and that Your mercy will be evident in the hearts of the officials.

Our fourth prayer focus is for the state of Ohio, where The Columbus Dispatch reported on October 15, 2026, that the Ohio Department of Health issued a temporary suspension of the statewide “Family Health Choice” program, leaving 200,000 families without access to affordable health coverage.

Lord, we ask for Your providence to restore the program swiftly, and for wisdom among policymakers to safeguard the health of Ohio families.

In Jesus’ name I decree that the “Family Health Choice” program will be reinstated within seven days, that all families will receive the care they need, and that corruption will not prevail in this matter.

Our fifth prayer focus is for the city of Charleston, South Carolina, where The Post and Courier reported on October 14, 2026, that a historic church’s sanctuary was damaged by a fire that started during a community outreach event, causing $250,000 in structural losses.

Father, we pray for rapid rebuilding, for the safety of the congregants, and for the outpouring of generosity to restore what was lost.

In the name of Jesus I decree that the sanctuary will be rebuilt stronger than before, that the fire’s cause will be fully disclosed and justice pursued, and that the church will continue to be a beacon of light in Charleston.
