In today’s assignment we lift up Global issues, remembering the biblical charge in 1 Timothy 2:1‑2 to pray for all leaders and peoples everywhere.

Our first prayer focus is for the city of Kyiv, Ukraine, where Ukrainska Pravda reported on October 17, 2026, that the municipal water system suffered a critical pipe rupture, leaving thousands without clean water.

Father, we ask that You send skilled engineers and compassionate volunteers to restore the water supply swiftly, and that You grant the residents patience and hope as they await repair.

In the name of Jesus, we decree that the broken pipes are mended, the water flows pure and abundant, and no further disruption will hinder the people of Kyiv.

Our second prayer focus is for the nation of Myanmar, where The Irrawaddy reported on October 16, 2026, that the military junta announced a new policy restricting the distribution of Bibles in the northern Shan State.

Lord, we pray that You raise up courageous believers to share Your Word in secret, that You protect them from persecution, and that hearts in the junta are softened to recognize the truth of Christ.

In Jesus’ name we command that the restriction be lifted, that the Bible will continue to reach every household in Shan State, and that the light of the Gospel will not be dimmed.

Our third prayer focus is for the city of Lagos, Nigeria, where The Guardian Nigeria reported on October 15, 2026, that a major market fire destroyed dozens of stalls, leaving many families without livelihood.

Almighty God, we ask that You provide immediate relief—food, shelter, and financial assistance—to those affected, and that You inspire local authorities to rebuild the market with stronger safety measures.

By the authority of Christ we declare that the market is rebuilt quickly, that new stalls are established, and that the families who lost everything are restored and prosper.

Our fourth prayer focus is for the Republic of Poland, where Gazeta Wyborcza reported on October 14, 2026, that a proposed law would limit the operation of private religious schools, threatening their ability to teach biblical truth.

Father, we intercede for the school leaders, teachers, and families, that You grant them wisdom, unity, and divine favor as they advocate for religious liberty before the Sejm.

In Jesus’ name we decree that the legislation is withdrawn, that private religious schools continue to operate freely, and that the truth of Scripture remains central in Polish education.

Our fifth prayer focus is for the city of Medellín, Colombia, where El Tiempo reported on October 13, 2026, that a surge of human trafficking rings has been linked to a local nightclub, endangering vulnerable youths.

Lord, we plead for the rescue and safe restoration of every victim, for the exposure and arrest of the traffickers, and for the healing of those whose lives have been shattered.

In the name of our Savior we command that the trafficking network be dismantled, that the nightclub be shut down, and that every young person in Medellín walks in freedom and safety.
