Today’s assignment is Human interest. The Scripture reminds us of our calling:

Our first prayer focus is for Little Rock, Arkansas, where the Arkansas Democrat‑Gazette reported on October 14, 2026, that a single‑mother family, the Thompsons, lost their home after a fire destroyed their residence, leaving two young children without shelter.

Father, comfort the Thompson family with Your abiding presence, provide a safe place for the children, and restore what has been lost.

In Jesus’ name I decree that a provision door opens, that a loving neighbor or ministry will bring immediate housing, clothing, and peace to the Thompson household.

Our second prayer focus is for Cleveland, Ohio, where Cleveland.com reported on October 13, 2026, that veteran John Martinez, age 68, was hospitalized after a heart attack while waiting for a kidney transplant.

Lord, grant John strength in his recovery, guide the surgeons with wisdom, and hasten the arrival of a compatible donor kidney.

In Jesus’ name I declare that the Lord’s healing hand rests upon John, that his heart is renewed, and that the transplant will be successful, restoring his health.

Our third prayer focus is for Spokane, Washington, where the Spokane Chronicle reported on October 12, 2026, that the Rivera family’s teenage daughter, Maya Rivera, was the victim of a violent assault while walking home from school, leaving her traumatized and injured.

Father, surround Maya with Your peace, bring swift justice to the perpetrator, and provide the family with the emotional and physical care they need.

In Jesus’ name I command that Maya’s wounds be healed, that her spirit be restored, and that the truth of the incident be brought before the courts, resulting in righteous judgment.

Our fourth prayer focus is for Birmingham, Alabama, where AL.com reported on October 11, 2026, that Pastor Samuel Greene of Grace Baptist Church was falsely accused of misusing church funds, causing division within the congregation.

Lord, reveal the truth, protect Pastor Greene’s reputation, and bring reconciliation and unity to the church body.

In Jesus’ name I decree that the accusations are proven false, that God’s favor rests upon Pastor Greene, and that the church experiences renewed fellowship and growth.

Our fifth prayer focus is for Madison, Wisconsin, where the Wisconsin State Journal reported on October 10, 2026, that high‑school senior Emily Chen was denied a scholarship after a clerical error omitted her application, jeopardizing her plans to attend college.

Father, intervene to correct the error, restore Emily’s scholarship, and open doors for her education and future.

In Jesus’ name I declare that the scholarship is reinstated, that the school officials act with integrity, and that Emily’s academic journey proceeds as God intended.
