One erroneous concept is that God chastises us with sickness:
Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
When you look at this verse, the word chasten doesn’t imply anything destructive or disease-related. The original Greek word means he “instructs and teaches” us. How does he do so? By the work of the Holy Spirit. The Father’s heart is to deliver you and bring you into the pink of good health!
