We pray for the “essential goodness” that Savannah spoke of to be awakened even in the heart of the captor—that a spirit of conviction would become so heavy that they can no longer carry the weight of this sin.

Where is God? He is standing on the porch where the blood was found, weeping with the family. He is in the war room with the investigators, sharpening their intuition. And He is in the secret place where Nancy is, whispered into her spirit: “Fear not, for I am with you.”
