The Unrelenting Significance of God’s Timing

Timing is Everything. We hear that often, but realize this – if you miss God’s timing, the cost can be brutal beyond imagining. Judas blew it because he failed in this area. He tried to press Jesus into acting out of God’s timing. Esau blew it because of not cooperating with God’s timing. Barnabas and Paul blew it concerning Mark because of a lack of cooperation with God’s timing. The Israelites got out of God’s timing when they went up against the city of Ai, and many died as a result. There are questions we ask, “Why God?” that often come down to this timing issue. When you’ve missed God’s timing, you better humble yourself to the process. Ignoring God’s timing meant 40 years in the wilderness of Israel when it could have taken only a few months to enter Canaan. Have you missed God’s timing? It is a factor that must be considered because there are things that God has promised you that were dependent upon timing that you may (perhaps, in fact, did miss). When your hopes are dashed, or things don’t work out due to a timing issue, it isn’t God being unfaithful. Esau sought a place to repent OUT OF GOD’S TIMING, and he never found it, though he sought it carefully with tears. Go ahead and cry your tears, then face the facts – otherwise, the price you pay may be far higher than you can imagine.
