The Power of Relational Prophecy

The Power of Relational Prophecy:

“And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord. And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord. And the word of Samuel came to all Israel.” (1 Samuel 3:20-21 KJV)

In our walk with God, the prophetic voice is not meant to be distant or detached. Instead, it often manifests through genuine connection and relationship. Just as the prophet Samuel walked alongside those he ministered to, sharing meals and time, so too can prophetic insight be nurtured within a context of care and personal investment. The value of the prophetic deepens when it not only speaks truth but also empowers us to hear God for ourselves, modeling a life lived in constant communion with His voice.

Receiving and Imparting God’s Goodness

“Freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:8b KJV)

God’s desire for us extends beyond mere correction; He longs to connect us with His joy and the good things He intends to bring into our lives. This relational aspect of faith mirrors how we ourselves should engage with others. By freely sharing the resources and insights God provides – be it wisdom, encouragement, or practical help – we participate in His nature and become conduits of His love to those around us.

The Ache of the Heart: A Divine Prophecy

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalm 37:4 KJV)

The longings and deep desires within our hearts are often not mere personal whims but divine prophecies, planted by God Himself. These yearnings point towards what He fully intends to address and fulfill in our lives. Recognizing this “ache” as a form of God’s communication empowers us to trust that He is not only aware of our needs but has already set in motion the means to meet them.

God Sets the Solitary in Families

“God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” (Psalm 68:6 KJV)

God strategically places individuals within families and communities, not only for their own growth but also to be a source of blessing and strength to others. Each person carries a unique gifting and perspective that can bring balance, encouragement, and guidance to those around them. Recognizing and embracing this role is crucial for the well-being and progress of the entire unit.

The Prophetic Wisdom of a Wife

“Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.” (1 Peter 3:1-2 KJV)

Within the marital relationship, a wife often carries a unique prophetic insight into her husband’s life and potential. Just as Abigail’s wisdom guided David toward his destiny, a wife’s discerning words can speak to the “king” within her husband, calling him to his higher purpose in God. This nurturing and encouraging communication fosters growth and strengthens the bond between them, enabling them to become a powerful force for the Kingdom.

Speaking to the King Within

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” (Proverbs 27:17 KJV)

Every individual possesses both strengths and weaknesses, a “king” and a “fool” within. God often uses those closest to us to speak to the noble aspects of our character, encouraging us toward our divine calling. In marriage, this dynamic is particularly potent, as a spouse’s faith-filled words can awaken and empower the God-given potential in their partner, leading to mutual growth and Kingdom impact.

The Power of Unified Vision

“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19 KJV)

When couples align their hearts and visions with God’s purposes, an extraordinary synergy is created. This unified front allows them to believe for the impossible and step into realms of influence they could never have imagined individually. By including God in their dreams and trusting Him for the implausible, they unlock His power to bring about miraculous realities.
