The core focus shifts from seeking external blessing to knowing the true nature of God. We must be established in love, rooted and grounded in love, to fully realize this salvation.

Knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ is declared to be eternal life. This shifts the concept of salvation from an escape from death or a reward for behavior to a present, living awareness of God’s nature.
