The apostle Paul told the men of Athens that they were not far from God and that they were His very offspring. This statement made from Mars Hill holds a relevant meaning for us today:
[Act 17:28 KJV] 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
There are times that we search to find God’s strength in situations, and that can make us feel distant in some way from His promise. Yet, according to the verse above, you are the very offspring of God which makes Jesus Himself your big brother. Regardless of what is swirling around you of the circumstances of life, the larger truth is that in Him you live and move and have your being, and that makes all the difference. I bless you this day with all things that would make your life the very definition of yoke easy and burden light. May the burden lift and the light of God come powerfully over you this very moment!
