Promise 66: 2 Samuel – 10

In the book of 2 Samuel God made a promise to King David that applies to you:

2 Samuel 7:12-14 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee… 13 and I will establish [him and]. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son…

David’s faithfulness to God paid dividends into the generation that came after him. Likewise, the faithfulness of those who went before you is a benefit to you, and your faithfulness is a benefit to those who come after you. God’s promise to you is to establish the generation after you to carry on the faith traditions that are your legacy.
