Playing to Win: A Word of Faith for Your Victory!
I was meditating on the goodness of the Lord, just soaking in His presence, when I was reminded of something a high school quarterback said about winning and perseverance. He made a statement so profound, so full of faith, that it resonated deeply within my spirit. He said, “We play till we win!” Hallelujah!
Now, some might hear that and think it’s just a catchy sports slogan. But I tell you, beloved, that’s not just a statement about football; that’s a kingdom principle! That’s the voice of faith speaking through that young man! He understood, perhaps even unknowingly, what the Word of God has been telling us all along: we are called to win!
You see, the world wants to tell you about quitting, about giving up when things get tough. They want to talk about “realistic expectations” and “knowing when to fold ’em.” But that’s the voice of the enemy, trying to sow doubt and fear into your heart! That’s not the God we serve! Our God is a God of victory! He’s a God of more than enough! He’s a God who always causes us to triumph!
Think about the apostle Paul. He didn’t say, “Well, I ran a good race, but I guess I just couldn’t make it to the finish line.” No! He declared in 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV), “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” He didn’t quit! He played till he won!
And what about Philippians 4:13 (KJV)? “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” All things! Not some things, not a few things when the conditions are perfect. All things! If you’ve got Christ in you, the hope of glory, then you’ve got the power to keep playing, to keep pressing, to keep believing until you see that victory manifest!
The devil wants you to think you’re defeated. He wants you to look at your circumstances, at that mountain in front of you, and throw in the towel. But I hear the Spirit of God saying, “No! Don’t you dare give up! Don’t you dare quit on the promises of God!”
You may have faced some challenges and experienced setbacks, but those aren’t defeats unless you declare them to be. God is not a God of defeat; He is a God of resurrection power. He is the God who raises the dead and makes a way where there seems to be no way.
So, I want to challenge you today, my friend. Are you playing to win? Or are you just playing to play? Are you just going through the motions, hoping something good will happen? Or are you standing on the Word of God, declaring His promises, and refusing to quit until you see His victory manifest in your life, in your family, in your finances, in your health?
It’s time to activate your faith! Don’t just listen to this word; do this word! Start speaking victory! Start believing for the impossible! Start acting like the champion God has called you to be! Refuse to let discouragement take root in your heart. Dig your heels in, stand on the promises of God, and play till you win! The victory is yours in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah!
Let’s pray right now:
Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus, we thank You for Your Word that is alive and powerful! We thank You that You have called us to victory, not defeat. We declare right now that we are players on your winning team! We bind every spirit of doubt, fear, and discouragement. We loose the spirit of faith, perseverance, and tenacity! We declare that we will not quit, we will not give up, and we will not throw in the towel! We play till we win, because You, Father, always cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus! We receive our victory now, by faith, in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
