Today:[Exodus Chapter Thirty (Concluded)] The Sacred Incense. God instructs Moses regarding the ingredients of the incense used in the Tabernacle. This incense was revealed of John the Revelator on the Isle of Patmos to be a type of prayer. Luther said “it seems that God will do nothing other than in response to heartfelt prayer”. In the conclusion of this chapter in Exodus we see reflected in the ingredients of the incense of the tabernacle a deeper understanding of effectual prayer and its resulting answers.
