Cooperating with God’s Process when You are Under Pressure

Have you recently walked through seasons of life where the ground of your life felt hard and unyielding? The plowing of God can feel intense, as He breaks up the fallow ground of our hearts, removing the stones and weeds that would otherwise choke the seeds of His purpose. These seasons of difficulty are not in vain; they are the very crucible in which God forges our character and instills in us a profound and steadfast faith. He uses every trial and moment of hardship to prepare us for what is to come, to shape us into the people He has called us to be.

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: (Ezekiel 11:19 KJV).

Just as a farmer tills the soil to make it fertile, God works in our lives to remove the hardness and make our hearts receptive to His will. This process of preparation is about transformation, replacing our old, resistant nature with a heart that is soft, obedient, and ready to receive the seeds of His purpose.

Sowing the Seeds of Obedience

Once the field is prepared, it is time to sow. The seeds of obedience, faith, and hope that you’ve held onto for so long may seem small or insignificant. However, God is not bound by the size of your faith; He is the great Multiplier. You are called to a fruitful harvest, not merely a modest one. Your deepest disappointments and perceived weaknesses are, in fact, the very soil from which He will bring forth a great harvest. God sees you as a keystone—a person of influence and impact, called to build His kingdom not with your hands alone, but with your heart.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6:7-8 KJV).

The principle of sowing and reaping is a divine law. By consistently planting seeds of obedience and faith, even in the midst of challenging circumstances, you are aligning yourself with God’s plan. The harvest that follows will be a testament to His faithfulness and your steadfastness, producing a harvest of spiritual fruit and kingdom impact far beyond what you could have imagined.

Divine Connections and Provision

As you embrace your calling, know that God is also bringing new alliances and connections into your life. These are divine partnerships—people who will run with you and share the vision God has placed in your heart. Just as He is restoring old relationships, He is also orchestrating new ones that will be a source of encouragement and support. Nurture these relationships, for they are part of your strength, a living testimony of His love. Simultaneously, keep your eyes fixed on Him as your sole source of provision. He promises to be your manna in the desert, providing for your needs and even your dreams in unexpected, supernatural ways.

And my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 KJV).

Our Heavenly Father is the ultimate provider. He doesn’t just meet our basic needs; He supplies every need according to His abundant riches. When we trust in His provision rather than worldly sources, He opens doors that no one can shut, releasing resources and favor that fuel not only our survival but also the fulfillment of the dreams He has placed within us.

Reflection and Review

The journey of faith is often one of preparation before manifestation. God uses the challenging seasons of our lives—the plowing of the field—to cultivate a heart ready for His purpose. These are not periods of punishment or regret but moments of intentional formation. He is shaping our character and building our faith so that when the time comes to sow, we are ready to trust Him with the seeds of our obedience. The harvest that follows is a result of both His work in us and our faithful response. As we continue to lean into His divine connections and trust in His supernatural provision, we find that our true fulfillment is not just in what we do for Him, but in who we become in Him. This is the beautiful, ongoing process of being made more and more like Jesus, the ultimate Builder of the kingdom.

Call to Action

  1. Reflect on the Plowing: Take time to prayerfully consider the most challenging seasons of your life. Ask God to show you how He was using those moments to prepare you for your current season.
  2. Sow a Seed of Obedience: Identify one area where God is calling you to a deeper level of obedience. It could be a small act of faith or a significant step. Take that step this week.
  3. Nurture Divine Connections: Look for the new or restored relationships in your life. Be intentional about pouring into them, offering encouragement, and praying for those who are a source of strength and support.
  4. Trust in His Provision: In a quiet moment, declare out loud that God is your ultimate source. Release any anxieties about provision and ask Him to reveal His supernatural provision in your life in unexpected ways.
  5. Become a Builder: Look for ways to build up and encourage those around you. See yourself as a keystone in God’s kingdom, someone who speaks life and purpose into others, empowering them to walk in their own destiny.
