WHAT IS AN e-CHURCH?
e-Church is an electronic expression of the brick and mortar church on the virtual frontier of the Internet. The cultural landscape is changing. The definition of community is changing with it. The commission of Christ is to go into all the world (cosmos or system) and establish the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God 1.) includes the message of Jesus and 2.) the community of believers. In order to fulfill Jesus’ mandate we must do two things:
1.) Proclaim the gospel
2.) Establish families of believers on every frontier (electronic or otherwise).
OUR MANDATE, OUR MISSION
Russ and Kitty understand that the WORLD is our MISSION FIELD. Our mandate from the Father is to RAISE UP A RELEVANT PROPHETIC CULTURE. We are called to demonstrate, proclaim, teach and nurture believers wherever we find them. We want to find ways to bring you closer and include you in the fullness of what God is doing in our lives. Within the scope of our limited abilities we want to be real with you and offer genuine relatedness as best we can given the limitations of time and technology.
Toward that end we include in our ministry an online community for believers to connect with Russ and Kitty and also to one another. We believe that NO ONE IS DISPOSEABLE. We believe that love never fails. If that sounds like a family you want to be a part of we welcome you to the experience!
The e-Church (or internet church) component of what we are doing is open to those who feel they have found a virtual home with Russ and Kitty’s ministry. Is it possible to “pastor” people globally through an online community? Good question. We make no effort to compete with the brick and mortar church. We simply know that we connect with people from all over the world on a daily basis who look to us as a Mom and a Dad (and a big brother and sister) in their lives. That connection is the definition of church life as we see it. We want to be accountable to God for the respect and honor you have shown us by sharing your lives and hearts with us.
We have no walls to erect or agendas to pursue. We simply want to find ways to nurture you, love you and launch you into the greatness of God in your life.
Kitty and I both have spent many years in pastoral ministry. I’ve served in denominational leadership in years past and pastored several churches throughout the Midwestern and southern United States. We have seen in our lifetime a great exodus of people from traditional church which compels us to make a greater effort to reach out to and minister to passionate believers wherever we find them whether they attend a local church or not.
