The Father Says Today: July 8th, 2020

The Father says today this is the day of new beginnings for you and striving does not enter into it. You are a king and priest unto Me, and the Lord’s priests are not allowed to sweat or perspire in their labors. Always remember this – if it isn’t yoke easy or burden light – then it isn’t Me. Some depict walking in My kingdom as a difficult and burdensome thing, but that is not who I am, and that is not where I am taking you. When I lead you, it will be beside still waters and green pastures. There will always be the unknown part of things, and there will always be the enemy out there threatening, but what is that to you when I have gathered you to Myself and seated you at My table? Enter into My rest today, says the Father. Always remind yourself that it is the Father in you that does the works and not yourself.

My default choice for you is always rest and not struggle. If you are striving and contending, take a moment, breathe deeply, and remember the great drops of blood that filled My brow in the garden. In the work of redemption, I took all your striving, all your stress, and all your burden upon Myself – not as your example but as your substitute. Never try to carry what I suffered to alleviate in your life. Never attempt to suffer as I suffered because only what I did on the Cross has any merit before the throne. Rest, and again I say rest. Enter into rest and cross over from captivity to sojourn even as the children of Israel crossed over, leaving all the burdens of Egypt behind. I am not a cruel taskmaster. I take no delight in stripes or imprisonment or shame or struggle. I am here. Talk to Me. Trust Me and follow Me out from the house of painfulness and hurt to the place of perfect peace and rest.
