Introduction to Personal Prophecy (Video)

elijahIntroducing Personal Prophecy:
Personal Prophecy is a Specific, Declarative Breakthrough Tool Given By God to Put you Over in Life:
Personal Prophecy is one of the activities you will see in our meetings and a ministry that you can receive upon request on our website. A personal prophesy is a specific type of declarative prayer give as a “prophesy” or “prophetic word” to a group or to you as an individuals.
2 Chron. 20:20 tells us:
Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

The whole purpose of personal prophecy is to bring profit and blessing and breakthrough in your life right where you need it most.
NOTE: We record these prophetic words and make them available to you on audio so you can listen to them for your own benefit and to give feedback to the person prophesying over you. Was the word accurate to your life? Was it encouraging? If it contains predictive elements did they come to pass?
What EXACTLY is Personal Prophecy?
A prophecy is a word of counsel or encouragement given under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The person who gives you a “prophetic word” is sharing with you what they are impressed in their heart that God would have them say to you at the time.
Are Personal Prophecies Scriptural?
Paul gave Timothy personal prophecies many times and warned him not to neglect what what spoken over him by the word of the Lord.
1 Tim. 1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;”
What is the purpose of Personal Prophecy?
Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:3 what personal prophecy and corporate or group prophecy is intended for:
1 Cor. 14:3 But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.
What should you do with your Personal Prophecy?
1. You should review the prophecy given to you. This is why all prophecies given should be recorded and if possible written down or transcribed. You should review your prophetic word for accuracy and positive content. It is perfectly acceptable to accept one part of a word while questioning another part. 1 Co. 13:9 says that we “know in part and prophesy in part”. So prophecies are not infallible or always wholly accurate. Only you can decide the value of a prophecy.
2. You should use it as a tool for encouragement. In the verse above (1 Tim. 1:18)
Paul told young Timothy to “war” in prayer with the prophecies he received.
3. You should wait for confirmation of your prophetic word. Whatever God may share with you through someone, he will confirm it through other caring people, personal dreams, or circumstances not to mention the scriptures themselves.
Is the person who shares with me a Prophet?
Not necessarily. Eph. 4:11 tells as that in addition to pastors, God calls men and women to be prophets as well in service to his people. But 1 Cor. 14:31 says that “all may prophesy” whether they have a leadership calling as a prophet or not.
What do I Do Next?
Wait for confirmation. The scriptures tell us “in the mouth of two or three witnesses” shall all things be established. If God is saying something to you then you will hear it more than once through more than one instrumentality.
If you have been blessed, the best thing to do is give that blessing to someone else! Tell a friend about your prophetic word and where they can go to be ministered to. What you make happen for someone else God will make happen for you.
If you know of someone who you think would be encouraged you are welcome to invite them or to request personal ministry. If you would like this type of ministry in your home individually or with a group, contact us through the website.
