Morning Light – John 17: The Great Intercessory Prayer of Jesus

In our chapter today, we are challenged by the scope of the prayer that Jesus prays for His disciples and by extension for those of us in the body of Christ. The emphasis is unity and the character of love Jesus expressed His desire to see between believers. Will this prayer be answered? If so, it will bring a radical shift in Christian culture as we know it today. Morning Light – John 16: The Convicting Role of the Holy Spirit

In John 16, Jesus tells the disciples He is going away. Have you ever felt like God has withdrawn Himself from your life? There are reasons for this, and it isn’t to hurt you. He is sending you a new dimension of experience in Him by the Holy Ghost. Out of that process will come manifest righteousness if you can cooperate with what He is doing. Morning Light – John 15: Are You Abiding in the Vine?

In John chapter 15, Jesus presents Himself as the Vine that we are to abide in. He also implies that we can abide in the Vine that He is and yet be cast out if we do not bear fruit. Is this possible? He also speaks to us, commanding us to love one another as He loved us. Can we love, substantively love each other as Christ loves us? Jesus loved His disciples, even though one of them was a devil. Can you love even when you know as Jesus knew that betrayal was your portion? These are the commands that Jesus gives to us in our chapter study today.
