Morning Light – May 18th, 2016: Who Will Abide in the Tabernacle of God?

Morning Light – May 18th, 2016 Today: [Psalms Fifteen / Sixteen] Who Will Abide in the Tabernacle of God. In this psalm David speaks of the tabernacle of God. There were actually two tabernacles in David’s day – one on Zion and another in Gibeon. The tabernacle in Zion is where the ark of the Covenant was kept. For us this is a type of the tabernacle of God that Jesus and the New Testament writers was on the inside of us. [Psa 15:1-5 KJV] 1 [[A Psalm of David.]] LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. 3 [He that] backbiteth not with … (click link or title to continue)

Morning Light – May 17th, 2016: How Long Oh, Lord?

Morning Light – May 17th, 2016 Today: [Psalms Thirteen / Fourteen] How Long Oh, Lord? Do you ever despair of waiting on God? Are you experiencing difficult circumstances and wondering where is God in all of this? In Psalm 13 David cries out to God as the martyrs do in Rev. 6:10. David’s prayer life is characterized by his candid approach to God. We are enriched in our own prayer life when we follow his example. [Psa 13:1-6 KJV] 1 [[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? … (click link or title to continue)

Morning Light – May 16th, 2016 Today: [Psalms Eleven/Twelve] When all is Lost – What Then? In Psalm Eleven and Twelve we see David writing about very difficult circumstances. Much of what we read in Psalms is an audit of David’s prayer life and how he responds in the midst of difficulty. It is a unique feature of David’s psalms that he expresses his frustration and fear in the midst of trouble and then speaks his faith. When no one else encouraged David – he always encouraged himself. This is a strategy in prayer that will help you in times of trouble. [Psa 11:1-7 KJV] 1 [[To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David.]] In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to … (click link or title to continue)
