Morning Light – July 14th, 2016: Enduring the Dregs of Bitter Experience

Morning Light – July 14th, 2016 Today: [Psalm 69] Enduring the Dregs of Bitter Experience. In this verse David echoes the deeps of God in a Messianic psalm. David is enduring a profound trial and pours out his complaint to God. The Father never despises an honest heart in prayer. There is no need to be pretentious or to pretend that we aren’t suffering. God will hear you cry and as David will turn your captivity as reflected in today’s lovely psalm. [Psa 69:1-36 KJV] 1 [[To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, [A Psalm] of David.]] Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto [my] soul. 2 I sink in deep mire, where [there is] no standing: I am come into deep … (click link or title to continue)

Morning Light – July 13th, 2016 Today: [Psalm 67-68] God’s Face Shines Upon Us. In this study we look at Psalm 67-68. We see that God’s face represents His spirit. [Psa 67:1-7 KJV] 1 [[To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm [or] Song.]] God be merciful unto us, and bless us; [and] cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. 2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. 3 Let … (click link or title to continue)

Morning Light – July 12th, 2016: God is Noisy – but Reliable

Morning Light – July 12th, 2016 Today: [Psalm 65-66] God is Noisy – but Reliable. In the two psalms we study today we find David in the mood to make noise. David was very celebratory and noisy when it came to his response to God. He believed that the whole capacity of man to celebrate and rejoice was given solely for the purpose of praising God and God alone. He believed that every word out of man’s mouth was a vow to God as well. He trusted in the mercy of God and the faithfulness of God to answer every prayer when his life (and ours by following his example) are offered up in praise and prayer to God. [Psa 65:1-13 KJV] 1 [[To the … (click link or title to continue)
